Our story

In 2021, Pridie and her family moved to Cwmffrwd, a little hill farm in the  Brecon Beacons' Black Mountains. Their goal was to create a space in which people could deepen their relationship with the natural world.

Three years later and Cwmffrwd Farm hums and buzzes with a tangible magic.

Meadows brim with bird's foot trefoil, speedwell and self-heal while great swathes of yellow rattle blanket the ground. Countless little bugs, beetles, crickets, butterflies, bats and birds thrive within this bounty of flowers, foxtail, cocksfoot and fescue grasses.

The meadows are alive with the wild.

So busy, in fact, that hedgehogs even trip up unsuspecting teenagers!

The farm is open to visitors all year round. For all those who wish to sit peacefully in wildflower meadows, marvel at the stars of a Dark Sky Reserve, climb high into the hills and blow the cobwebs of the modern world away. â€‹â€‹People join us to weave the patterns of the land into their own lives; exploring lost ancestral skills, gleaning wisdom from native folklore, and sitting together in community to share stories of our native plants, trees and creatures. â€‹

Central to every experience is a re-connection with nature - a deepening of our relationship with the natural world and a rekindling of the desire to protect and preserve our natural heritage.
